Job Description:
This position is part-time to a full-time position. Duties would involve, recruiting, screening, equipping (spiritually, musically), leading and developing future leaders for the Worship Team. In other words, re-produce yourself over and over. The applicant will be required to plan music and rehearse worship teams for our Sunday a.m. service, one mid-week home cell group, as well as provide music for occasional special events, plus build, oversee and direct a Choir.
Applicant must be willing to be flexible and work in conjunction with senior pastor’s vision for the Worship Community. Also the applicant will be required, as a part-time partner in this ministry, to help plan and further develop SIM’s Conferences.
We are looking for a Worship Leader/Pastor who first has a heart for the Lord. We are in search of a David, a skillful, yet passionate, worship leader who will love this congregation as the “good” Shepherd loves His sheep. Someone who is a skillful communicator, able to build up through love, while at the same time setting a standard for excellence in ministry. We are not looking for a “novice” but one who has a proven track record in the ministry of praise and worship. The applicant must not be given to “envy”, must love the “truth” (Word of God), and must “fear” the Lord.
